NSC partnership expands mortgage service options for CUs
Minnesota credit unions have the opportunity to strengthen their internal mortgage programs thanks to a newly-formed partnership between MnCUN's Network Service Corporation and AmeriCU Mortgage. Building upon credit unions' existing mortgage products and services, AmeriCU Mortgage enables Minnesota credit unions of all sizes to offer members affordable mortgage financing while maximizing income.
AmeriCU Mortgage's unique service model allows credit unions to choose the level of support that works best for them and their members. With options ranging from correspondent services to complete outsourcing, credit unions can be involved in the mortgage financing process as much – or as little – as desired. In addition, AmeriCU Mortgage offers a dozen mortgage products, including conventional, FHA, homepath and reverse mortgages, allowing credit unions to provide members with an array of mortgage options.
Through its outsourcing option, AmeriCU Mortgage utilizes credit unions' current resources to strengthen the mortgage program. Attend MnCUN's Business Meeting via live video stream
New in 2012, credit unions have the opportunity to be virtual participants of the Minnesota Credit Union Network Annual Meeting! This year, MnCUN is providing credit union staff and volunteers the option to watch a live video stream of the Business Meeting on Friday, April 13, at 9 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Credit unions are encouraged to coordinate a full staff meeting to watch the live video, which will help to involve and inform staff who are unable to travel to Bloomington for the conference.
This year's Business Meeting will feature CUNA President & CEO Bill Cheney, MnCUN President & CEO Mark Cummins, and MnCUN Board Chairman Kyle Markland. This meeting will also reveal the results of the MnCUN Board of Director elections and feature reports from various committees and organizations. Join MnCUN as it reflects on the milestones of 2011 and looks forward to the year ahead.

MnCUN Performance Survey sent to CUs
This week affiliated credit union presidents received the Minnesota Credit Union Network's 2011 Performance Survey. This annual questionnaire allows MnCUN to assess its performance of the previous calendar year, requesting credit union feedback on the quality of its services and product offerings.
This year's Performance Survey is available in two formats. In addition to receiving a paper version of the questionnaire, credit union presidents were also emailed a link to an electronic version of the survey. Presidents are asked to complete the survey in only one format by Wednesday, April 4.
The survey results will be used to evaluate the Network's services and monitor trends in credit union satisfaction. Take advantage of this opportunity to provide the Network Board and staff with feedback, suggestions and comments.
Free webinar to explore manufactured home loans
Credit unions with a desire to learn more about manufactured home purchases and refinances are invited to attend a free webinar on Thursday, April 5. Hosted by the Corporation for Enterprise Development (CFED), this session will show Minnesota credit unions the successful and distinctive approaches taken by two community credit unions – BE Credit Union in Washington and Self-Help Credit Union in North Carolina – that offer manufactured home loans.
This unique session will address characteristics of the low- and moderate-income housing market and highlight cutting-edge innovations. It will also examine findings from an analysis of almost $1.5 billion in manufactured home loan data reported by CFED's I'M HOME's Single Family Finance initiative.
