Minnesota Housing

Minnesota Housing

Minnesota Housing is a state agency that has purchased qualifying secured and unsecured home improvement loans from participating lenders across Minnesota for 34 years. Approved lenders underwrite, close and fund loans using prudent underwriting standards; disburse their own funds to the borrowers; and immediately sell the loans to Minnesota Housing. Lenders are paid a processing fee per loan, along with reimbursement for the original principal loan amount. The benefits of working with Minnesota Housing include monthly lender training, affordable fixed-rate financing for loan amounts of $2,000 to $35,000, generous equity and repayment terms, and the household income limit is $96,500. Credit unions can also serve customers through the innovative Fix-up Fund home improvement program!
