Supervisory Committee Workshops
As the role of the Supervisory Committee continues to evolve, it is imperative that volunteers in this position understand their role as the watchdog of credit unions’ safety and soundness. The Minnesota Credit Union Network’s Supervisory Committee Workshop will give an overview of the basics and provide the groundwork for developing a highly effective supervisory committee. Geared toward new committee members and seasoned veterans, this training will discuss the duties, responsibilities and liabilities of the supervisory committee.
Led by credit union industry experts, this session will review the goals of the committee, explore steps for ensuring that the credit union is following proper procedures and discuss warning signs of misconduct. Attendees will learn from the credit union experiences of the presenters and have the opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns they may have. Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about how to more effectively fulfill your responsibilities as a supervisory committee member.
