Minnesota Young Credit Union Professionals (MYCUP) is a networking group for credit union professionals of all levels – from tellers to managers to CEOs – to meet and socialize with others in the credit union movement. Participants must be 35 years of age or younger and have a commitment to credit unions.

The average age of credit union CEOs is 51. 16% of credit union CEOs are over the age of 60. The average age of credit union board members is 56. 36% of credit union board members are over the age of 56.

To promote the involvement of young credit union professionals in the credit union Movement and encourage long-term credit union careers.

As the average age of credit union employees increases, young professionals need to form their own peer support group. Through gatherings with young credit union professionals from across the state, participants will enhance professional development and assist those looking to advance in their credit union careers. This group will also promote the credit union philosophy to those outside of the Movement.

MYCUP will meet quarterly at an establishment in or around the Twin Cities metro area. Gatherings include time to network as well as a structured speker of activity portion.
