St. Cloud Federal Credit Union – ST. CLOUD, Minnesota (February 25, 2016) – St. Cloud Federal Credit Union is proud to announce Jed A. Meyer, President and CEO, was recognized as a Credit Union Times National Trailblazer 40 Below. This prestigious national recognition is based on key leadership criteria: results, growth, community involvement, career path, community volunteerism, and leadership.
“Meyer: Banking on Making a Real Difference” was the headline launched in the Credit Union Times. The article goes on to state that, “Under Meyer’s leadership over the past two years, the $145 million credit union has focused more deeply on aligning its strategy with its core values, which spell PURPOSE (passion matters; united we make a difference; reach for more every day; people are trustworthy and unique; operational excellence; service above self with balance; and embrace change and creativity).”
As part of the recognition process, a video was created asking Meyer questions about his advice to young leaders: “My advice to anyone is to figure out where your passion and talents lie and to do what you love. I just wanted to make a difference and I found that in credit unions.” In addition to Meyer’s focus on passion and making a difference, his results-orientated leadership style were key. Meyer joined St. Cloud Federal Credit Union nearly two years ago. Since that time organizational loans have grown by over 40%, assets by over 30%, and ROA to nearly double that of credit union peer groups.
Andrew Johannes, St. Cloud Federal Credit Union Board Chair stated that, “We have a really strong staff and wanted Jed to take us to the next level. His exuberance brings everyone together and is getting results.”
