(January 22, 2016) – Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union was named the YPro Advocate of the Year at the YPro: Discovered Gala that took place on Thursday, Jan. 21, sponsored by the Saint Paul Area Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals (SPACC YPro). The award honors the credit union’s commitment to the development of young professionals within its organization and support of their participation in organizations that positively impact the greater Twin Cities community.
“It’s an honor to be recognized for our ongoing efforts to support, educate, and develop our young professionals across the organization,” shares Affinity Plus President and CEO Dave Larson.
In its award submission, Affinity Plus noted its generous tuition reimbursement program, strengths-based leadership, and current plans to increase the percentage of internal promotions as well as filling open positions with internal candidates, which will deploy this year.
“Every day, we strive to ensure our employees feel valued and appreciated, and one of the best ways we can do that is by encouraging their growth and giving them responsibilities that complement the strongest facets of their personality, intelligence, and creativity,” shares Larson. “This ensures they feel successful when they show up to work and will further their contribution to the improvement of our organization for members and employees alike.”
