Hiway Federal Credit Union – ST. PAUL, Minn. (January 22, 2016) – Hiway Federal Credit Union (Hiway) has been honored with a YPro Advocate of the Year Award in the first ever YPro: Discovered Gala Awards sponsored by the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce (SPACC) YPro. The awards honor young professionals who make St. Paul and the metro area thrive, along with the companies that work to support those young professionals.
Hiway is very focused on creating an environment that attracts and retains young professionals who may become future leaders within the organization. Young professionals are encouraged to participate in our Young Professionals group, where associates have opportunities to expand their knowledge and involvement within the organization and with outside professional groups as well. Associates are encouraged to participate with groups such as SPACC’s YPro and The Crew through the Minnesota Credit Union Network, along with Hiway’s Think Tank teams to support their professional growth and creativity. Hiway also offers a tuition reimbursement program to encourage associates to continue their education.
“Hiway is proud to be one of the recipients of the YPro Advocate of the Year award,” said Dave Boden, President/CEO of Hiway. “At Hiway we’ve made a conscious effort to get staff involved and more engaged in the last few years. It has been exciting to see associates taking advantage of leadership opportunities and witness the creative ideas Hiway associates have come up through our Think Tank initiative. Credit for this award goes to all of Hiway’s young professionals. They are actively involved in many local charitable and service initiatives and organizations, they are regular participants and leaders in many credit union industry events, and very involved in the local broader business community, and they make us proud every day.”
