Pineandlakes Echo Journal (May 11, 2016) - Now through June 30, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) is doing its part to get books into the hands of all young children through the "60 Days of Giving" book drive.

In connection with its 60th anniversary, all MMFCU branches will have designated areas in their lobbies where community members can donate new and gently used children's books. Those books, in turn, will be distributed locally, including at schools and daycare facilities.

Financial contributions will also be accepted, matched up to $2,000 by MMFCU and donated to United Way to support the Imagination Library program.

MMFCU staff volunteers will also visit schools and daycares throughout their respective service areas to read to classrooms and daycare children.

For more information on the "60 Days of Giving" campaign, visit or call any local MMFCU branch location.
