Brian Volkmann named EVP/CFO of Affinity Plus

Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union - ST. PAUL, Min. (May 24, 2016) - Last week, Brian Volkmann was named Executive Vice President/Chief Financial Officer of Affinity Plus Federal Credit Union, a $1.8 billion financial cooperative headquartered in St. Paul, with 28 branches around the state of Minnesota. Affinity Plus is a local, trusted, not-for-profit credit union that is owned by its membership of over 180,000 members.
Volkmann joined Affinity Plus in 2000 as the manager of the Mankato branch on the Minnesota State University-Mankato campus. During his career, he has led numerous areas of the credit union, including accounting, finance, consumer lending, real estate, risk management, quality control, investor relations, solutions and call centers. Volkmann most recently worked as Chief Financial Officer for the past three years.

Locally, Volkmann is part of the Minnesota Business Ethics Award committee, collaborating with local businesses that share a passion for raising the bar of business ethics, as well as with Financial Executives International. Within the credit union industry, Volkmann serves on numerous boards and committees focused on collaboration, partnership and excellence in mortgage lending and finance. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in management from Minnesota State University-Mankato, as well as an MBA and an MS in finance from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
