Minnco Credit Union (July 14, 2016) - On July 1, employees from Minnco Credit Union, presented a “big check” for $1,187 to Habitat for Humanity. On hand to accept the donation was Lewis Leasure from Habitat for Humanity.
The $1,187 was raised by Minnco's employees through Dress Down Days in May. Employees donated $5 for each Tuesday in the month of May in order to be able to wear jeans to work. Over 50 employees participated and many members also donated money to the cause. The money was used to help pay for roofing material for the new Habitat house in Cambridge.
Employees not only donated money, but also donated their time to help with the painting of the interior of the Habitat house.
