ST. PAUL, Minn. (August 10, 2016) - The Minnesota Credit Union Network’s (MnCUN) Political Involvement Committee recently voted to endorse Congressman Rick Nolan in his reelection bid for the 8th Congressional District.
“Congressman Nolan has proven himself to be one of the most stalwart advocates for credit unions in the entire country,” said MnCUN VP-Governmental Affairs, Mara Humphrey. “Congressman Nolan has consistently advocated for credit unions in Congress, including co-sponsoring several bills on our behalf, since being elected in 2012. He is the very definition of a credit union champion and we look forward to his continued work on behalf of the 8th District.”
"The credit union movement has always been committed to the greater good, and we share similar values as supporters of middle class families and small businesses,” said Congressman Nolan. “I am delighted to be a friend -- and do everything I can -- to champion the efforts of credit unions."
MnCUN is the statewide organization that represents the needs and interests of credit unions in Minnesota. The Political Involvement Committee provides input and recommendations on legislative efforts at the state and federal level.
