Friday, September 23, 2016
Firefly Credit Union - BURNSVILLE, Minn. (September 23, 2016) - Throughout October Burnsville High School (BHS) students will partner with local eatery Burger Jones to offer the ‘Blaze’ burger. This delectable burger will provide restaurant patrons with a bold, savory taste bud experience with toppings including peanut butter, jalapeño peppers, pepper jack cheese, and a fried egg. One dollar in proceeds from each Blaze burger will go to BHS DECA.
Firefly Credit Union will help BHS DECA student kick off Blaze Burger Month by hosting a lunch for their staff, as well as students and employees representing ISD 191, Tuesday, September 27th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at their corporate office. With more than 150 burgers purchased for the event, the DECA students will be well on their way to their October fundraising goal before the official start of Blaze Burger Month.
“We are honored to help support Burnsville High School DECA students in this campaign,” said Marty Kelly, Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer at Firefly Credit Union. “They have been hard at work on multiple exciting projects with us already this school year including our Community Shred Event and prepping for the upcoming Burnsville High School branch. This time it is us giving back to them.”
Blaze Burger Month runs from October 1 – 31, 2016 and is available at Burger Jones’ Burnsville location only. For those who do not have an adventurous palate, a Blaze Burger can be ordered without the fixings, and a dollar will still be donated to BHS DECA.
