Members of the Mower County Employees Credit Union Raise Funds for Disabled American Veterans

Mower County Employees Credit Union - AUSTIN, Minn. (April 21, 2017) - The Mower County Employees Credit Union in Austin, Minnesota held its annual membership meeting on Tuesday, April 18th, 2017 with something special to offer its membership. Member Merry V. utilized her extraordinary talent of quilt making and donated a beautiful American themed quilt for the credit union’s annual meeting.
With the thoughtful brainstorming ideas of Merry and the credit union staff, it was decided to request donations and award the quilt as a door prize at the meeting. Members of the credit union were eager to participate knowing all funds donated would be given to the Disabled American Veterans: Arnold Brandt #27 Chapter located in Austin, MN. The chapter works closely with the Mower County Veteran Department to empower veterans to lead high-quality lives with respect and dignity.
Members of the Mower County Employees Credit Union donated $174.00!
About MCECU: The Mower County Employees Credit Union has been serving employees of Mower County since 1961, and offers a variety of competitive financial products and services. The credit union operates one location with three dedicated employees serving over 600 members. MCECU’s membership is composed of those who work for Mower County Soil Conservation, Mower County Housing Authority, Mower County Senior Citizens Center and all other Mower County government employees. Member Merry V. is a retired county employee who served as a detention deputy for law enforcement and is currently enjoying retirement with a variety of hobbies including quilt making.
