Mill City Credit Union Gives Back with $11,000 in Scholarships

Mill City Credit Union - MINNETONKA, Minn. (June 27, 2017) - Mill City Credit Union (CU) recently awarded a total of $11,000 in scholarships to ten members enrolling in post-secondary education for the 2017-18 academic year.
Mill City CU is firmly dedicated to furthering the financial education of its members and is proud to support those pursuing higher education. To be considered eligible for this year’s scholarship contest, members needed to submit an essay and/or video answering the following question: “Do you believe high schools are providing financial education that will or does help you in the real world?” Applicants were encouraged to draw on their personal experience and share lessons they learned through their school’s financial education efforts or how/where they found the answers to their financial questions that weren’t covered in school.
Essays were reviewed by the Mill City CU Scholarship Committee, and ten winners were selected to share the $11,000 in scholarship money. The winners are listed below:

- Lauren Brown of Minnetonka, MN
