Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union - MANKATO, Minn. (July 3, 2017) - Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union (MVFCU) is pleased and humbled to announce that, for the third consecutive year, and 4th time in the last five years, Minnesota Valley Federal Credit Union was voted the Best Bank or Credit Union in Greater Mankato area by readers of the daily Free Press newspaper and monthly Mankato Magazine.
There are over 20 financials with offices or doing significant business in the Greater Mankato Area, which has a population of almost 100,000. MVFCU was chartered in 1934 as Mankato Teachers Credit Union, converted to a community charter in 2001, having assets of $152 million, memberships of 14,000 and two offices in Mankato. MVFCU won 1st place in 2013, 2015, 2016 and narrowly missed 4 consecutive first place finishes, coming in 2nd in 2014.
