Royal Credit Union - EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (August 31, 2017) - Royal Credit Union Executive Vice President of Risk Management, Randy Beck, will retire effective Friday, September 1, 2017. Beck joined Royal Credit Union in 1976 and over the last 41 years has served in a variety of roles at the credit union. He started the real estate lending program, developed Royal’s business lending program, and led several departments during his tenure including branch operations, information systems and collections. In his current role Beck is in charge of facilities and oversees risk and compliance for the credit union. In April, Beck was selected by the Royal Credit Union Board of Directors to serve as interim President & CEO following the resignation of Rudy Pereira. Beck delayed his planned May retirement date and served in the role until Brandon Riechers was hired on July 31.

“We’d like to thank Randy for his 41 years of service to Royal Credit Union,” said Brandon Riechers, Royal Credit Union President & CEO. “Randy was Royal’s 11th employee and he has certainly played a large role in the success of this credit union. He is a respected leader here at Royal, throughout the credit union industry, and within the community.”

Beck was a Wisconsin Credit Union League (WCUL) board member for eight years. He served on the executive committee for three years and as Chairperson of the board for two years. Locally, he helped develop the local Junior Achievement board of directors and has been very involved with United Cerebral Palsy of West Central Wisconsin. He chaired UCP’s Harley Davidson Fundraiser for 8 years and is currently serving a 2-year term as co-chair of the UCP Star Fest Telethon with his wife, Ronna.

“I’m proud to say I worked for Royal Credit Union for 41 years and have truly enjoyed being able to help our Members and the communities we serve,” said Beck. “I’ve worked with a great team of people and I know Royal Credit Union is poised for continued success.”

Beck plans to stay in Eau Claire following retirement.
