Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union Highlights Cancer Awareness in October
Thursday, September 28, 2017
Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union - BAXTER, Minn. (September 28, 2017) – Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) will focus and raise dollars for cancer awareness throughout the month of October. Cancer is a major public health problem worldwide and is the second leading cause of death in the United States. There are many amazing local programs and services to help people with cancer and their loved ones understand it, manage their lives through treatment and recovery, and find the emotional support they need.
The Mid-Minnesota family has an intimate relationship with cancer and has recently been touched by its sadness. With that, each branch community will be choosing a specific cancer to support, raise awareness and collect donations which, in turn, will stay local.
Throughout the month of October MMFCU branches will accept cash donations for the Pay It Forward for Cancer Fund and will be selling ‘ribbons’ for $1 each to be hung up in our lobbies. All dollars collected by our staff and membership will be matched dollar for dollar by the Credit Union!
Together we have the potential to raise a great deal of money for charities that provide support to members of our communities, when it is needed the most.
Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union is a member-owned financial cooperative serving central Minnesota.
