TopLine Federal Credit Union to Participate in Statewide Day of Kindness
Thursday, October 5, 2017
MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (October 5, 2017) - TopLine Federal Credit Union will be one of the 38 credit unions across the state of Minnesota participating in an orchestrated day to spread kindness in communities and encourage others to do the same on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9.
TopLine is participating in this collaborative credit union event, referred to as “CU Forward Day,” and employees will be volunteering to benefit our local non-profit partners, Community Emergency Assistance Programs (CEAP) and Keystone Community Services. Volunteers will be making a positive impact in the communities that TopLine serves by providing assistance in a food shelf, thrift store or helping to clean up garden beds by weeding and mulching.
“We are thrilled to take part in this joint community give-back effort to inspire others to volunteer and give-back across our Minnesota communities,” says Tom Smith, TopLine President and CEO. “This is an extension of what TopLine, and credit unions, do all year long, and showcases the true power of collectively working together to make a difference. We look forward to having a fun day making a positive impact in our communities.”
Credit unions are committed to the foundational philosophy of “People Helping People,” which is demonstrated by their cooperative structures, support of financial education, and active engagement within their communities. Around the state, 38 Minnesota credit unions and partners will be dedicating a total of 12,224 volunteer hours in 80 communities with an estimated impact on more than 33,574 people on CU Forward Day.
CU Forward day is coordinated by the Minnesota Credit Union Network, the state trade association for Minnesota’s credit unions. #cuforwardday
