The Minnesota Credit Union Network is dedicated to providing credit unions the training and resources they need to grow and thrive in today’s financial environment. Through its education and credit union development programs, the Network provides information and training on a wide variety of topics. Complimentary Compliance Training

  • BSA and OFAC Compliance: Empower and educate your staff with this complimentary webinar. The hour-long, recorded session covers all of the required information for your annual BSA compliance training requirement. (This is a MnCUN member-only benefit. Peer-to-Peer sessions

Peer-to-Peer sessions (P2P) provide credit union professionals the opportunity to participate in cooperative meetings to network and exchange ideas.

 

Live Webinars

Pairing telephone conferencing with online capabilities, these sessions bring training directly to you. Participants will receive login instructions and handout materials via email prior to the webcast.

On Demand sessions via web link. Simply order the sessions and use them at a time that's convenient for you!

 

Self-Study Courses

These programs allow participants to learn at their own pace. The courses are coordinated by CUNA's Center for Professional Development and offer a simple, affordable way to strengthen individuals' abilities and enhance opportunities for advancement.

Three main education programs are available:

  • Staff Training & Recognition (STAR) - STAR offers training in credit union operations, as well as supplementary programs in accounting, consumer and advanced lending, member services, sales, and technology.

  • Management Enrichment Training Program (MERIT) - provides management teams the knowledge and ability to confidently and professionally make decisions based on facts, improve communications with staff, and interpret the legal implications of personnel decisions.

  • Volunteer Achievement Program (VAP) - helps credit union volunteers learn to work effectively, make informed decisions, and improve credit union performance.

The Crew Young Professionals Group

The Crew is a group for young professionals working in the credit union movement in Minnesota. The Minnesota Credit Union Network hosts special sessions for Crew members at major Network events as well as standalone Crew education sessions, happy hours, and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

 

Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network

The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network is a sister society of the World Council of Credit Unions’ Global Women’s Leadership Network. The vision of the Global Women's Leadership Network is to provide women with the opportunity and resources to make a measureable difference in the lives of each other, in the lives of credit union members and in their communities.
