WINcentive Savings Launches at 14 Credit Unions
Over 400,000 Minnesota credit union members, as well as new members who sign-up, now have access to the new incentive-based savings account, WINcentive Savings™.
The first credit unions began offering WINcentive Savings accounts on Monday, January 4th, and members have already begun signing up.
The current Statewide Prize Pool is $85,000, which will be distributed in full to credit union members in 2016. We anticipate that the prize pool will continue to grow as additional credit unions begin offering WINcentive. To date, 14 credit unions have signed to launch the program.
WINcentive Savings accounts work by awarding members with entries into monthly, quarterly and annual cash prize drawings each time they increase their balance by $25 – up to 4 entries per month. The first drawing will be held in February. The appeal of the program is that there is no loser and no risk – the real benefit to members is savings.
News outlets all over the state are reporting on the innovative program – available only at MnCUN affiliated Minnesota Credit Unions. Recent media, including print, radio and TV coverage, is highlighted on the WINcentive Press Page.
For more information about how your credit union can offer WINcentive™ Savings, visit our website or contact Ryan Smith by email or by phone (651)288-5533 or (800)477-1034.
Thank you to the first 10 credit unions to affiliate with the Minnesota Credit Union Network and CUNA for 2016!
MnCUN would like to welcome new member TruStone Financial Federal Credit Union. “As nationwide credit union membership tops 100 million consumers, it’s important for credit unions to work together,” said TruStone Financial board chair Tom Alagna. TruStone Financial chief executive officer Tim Bosiacki touted the MNCUN’s variety of educational opportunities and growth initiatives as a key driver behind the decision to join.
Dues packets were mailed to all credit unions in mid-December, with a deadline of January 31. An investment in the Network is an investment in your credit union – to create a positive legislative environment, to ease your regulatory burden, and to increase market awareness so your credit union can thrive. We value your continued trust in us. With questions about your membership with the Network, please contact Mark Cummins or John Wendland.
