TWO YOUNG CREDIT UNION PROFESSIONALS FROM MINNESOTA SELECTED TO CRASH THE GAC

The Minnesota Credit Union Network is pleased to announce that SouaYee Vang, Sr. Financial Analyst at Hiway Federal Credit Union and Torrin Nelson, Marketing Assistant at City & County Credit Union, have been selected to attend Crash the GAC 2018 by The Cooperative Trust and Credit Union National Association.

 

Crash the GAC is a career-changing program for credit union young professionals that allows them to experience the Credit Union National Association’s (CUNA) Governmental Affairs Conference in a dynamic way with exclusive networking opportunities and mentoring sessions with industry leaders, previously from organizations such as Filene Research Institute, National Credit Union Foundation, Credit Union National Association, and CUNA Mutual Group.

 

Credit Union National Association provides Crashers with a complimentary registration fee to attend the conference. This year 78 Crashers will attend Crash the GAC representing all 50 states and the District of Columbia.

 

The Crash the GAC is a program of The Cooperative Trust and CUNA, in association with Credit Union Leagues/Associations.

TurboTax Program Discounts Available Your Members Now

Tax season is here and the TurboTax program is in full swing, so now is a great time to market the Love My Credit Union Rewards TurboTax program. Free marketing materials are now available in the Love my Credit Union Rewards Partner Center to assist in communicating the TurboTax discounts to members.

Many of your members will be starting their taxes soon; 70 percent of online filers start their taxes before Feb. 10. Marketing at key times during the tax season is essential to building member awareness about the TurboTax discount.

Marketing Best Practices and Key Dates

 
Below are key dates for marketing the TurboTax discount to your members. These materials are available for free in the Partner Center.

 

  • Jan. 1 - April 17: Post the TurboTax banner on your website homepage and online banking pages, above the fold.
  • Jan. 1: Publish a TurboTax Sweepstakes article in your newsletter prior to Feb. 8 (if participating in the Sweepstakes).
  • Jan. 11: Send first TurboTax email to your members.
  • Jan. 25: Send second TurboTax email to your members.

Additional Marketing Recommendations

 

  • Send additional emails to your members on one or both of the following dates:
    • Feb. 8
    • April 12
  • Include TurboTax messaging on 1099/1098 forms
  • Display TurboTax video in your branches
  • Use social media to keep members in the know about the TurboTax discount
  • Place a TurboTax banner on your e-statements
  • Place a TurboTax banner on your mobile banking app
