The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is hosting a Financial Education Peer-to-Peer Session (P2P) for credit union financial education professionals on Thursday, June 29 at the MnCUN office in St. Paul. The P2P will focus on experiential learning programs and include a panel of financial educators.
According to the National Credit Union Foundation, experiential learning programs are simulations and exercises that mirror a taste of real life by involving a direct encounter with life situations rather than reading or thinking about such events. Examples include programs such as Reality Fairs, Retirement Fairs, and Life Simulations, designed to provide needed financial information, but more importantly, to be a catalyst for behavior change.
Full event information and registration is available online.
P2Ps provide credit union professionals the opportunity to participate in cooperative meetings to network and exchange ideas. A full list of upcoming P2P sessions can be found on the MnCUN calendar online.
The Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids (CU4Kids) committee will be holding their 22nd annual golf tournament on Wednesday, June 14 at the Refuge Golf Club in Oak Grove. Credit unions and vendors are encouraged to participate through sponsorship and as golfers. All sponsorships will be used to support Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare, helping kids with disabilities and chronic conditions.
More information and pricing are available on the event flyer. Register before the end of the day to receive early bird pricing.
Payments can be made by check or online through the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation. If making payment online, please also fill out and submit the event flyer.
