Women Credit Union Leaders Gather in Duluth

Over 30 credit union women gathered in Duluth last week to attend in the most recent Women’s Leadership event on June 7. Alyza Bohbot, Founder/Owner City Girl Coffee, and Patricia Wesenberg, President & CEO of Simplicity Credit Union and former CUNA Board Chair, provided insights on leadership. Participants then had the opportunity to network with several Minnesota Credit Union CEO’s from various sized credit unions.

The afternoon concluded with a joint session with CEO Conference attendees given by Ryan Foss, Managing Director, Innovation at Filene about their research study “Women in Leadership”.

The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network is a local chapter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network established to further Global Women’s Leadership Network’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to convene Minnesota’s women credit union professionals, discuss credit union issues, exchange ideas, network with neighboring credit union leaders, and share lessons learned with Global Women’s Leadership Network members worldwide.

Any person, at any stage in their professional journey, connected to a credit union is welcome to participate in the Sister Society program. To join, visit the member profile page of the MnCUN website. Under Subscriptions, click the box next to Women's Leadership.
