AWARENESS CAMPAIGN ADS YIELD 7.4 MILLION IMPRESSIONS

The second quarter results for the 2017 Minnesota Credit Union Awareness Campaign are now available to view on the Awareness page of the MnCUN website. Contributing credit unions will receive a detailed campaign report, plus snapshots of the St. Cloud, Duluth and Rochester media market areas are also available. 

From April 27 through June 30, the campaign ads yielded 7.4 million digital impressions statewide, leading almost 5,000 unique visitors to the microsite choosemncu.org.

“As we learn how the creative assets are performing, and which sites and apps produce the highest clicks, we are able to make shifts and optimize our online display and video pre-roll strategy,” said MnCUN Director of Communications Andrea Molnau. “During third quarter, we are implementing additional delivery channels to increase our reach. Online radio ads are launching soon, and event strategies include the Credit Union Night at the Saints Game and sponsorship at the Minnesota State Fair.”

In addition to the campaign result reports, several resources are available on the Network website, including a staff information sheet that outlines the campaign and key messages. Supporting credit unions also receive access to a campaign toolkit that includes creative assets to incorporate into their own marketing.

The microsite includes a database of MnCUN member credit unions and branches, and if provided to us, field of membership and services available at each credit union. Minnesota Department of Commerce Announces Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Financial Institutions

Last week, the Minnesota Department of Commerce announced Maxwell Zappia as the Deputy Commissioner of the Division of Financial Institutions. In this role, he leads the Financial Institutions team responsible for regulation of state-chartered banks, state-chartered credit unions and non-depository financial institutions licensed in the state. Regulatory activities of the Financial Institutions Division include onsite examinations, licensing, applications processing and statewide analysis.

 

Since joining the Commerce Department in 2009, Zappia has also served as Chief Examiner of Banking and Regional Program Director. He holds an economics degree from Metropolitan State University and is currently working on a graduate degree in banking, with a certificate of executive leadership, from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Register for CUNA Mutual Group’s Discovery Conference Today

CUNA Mutual Group announced today registration is open for its eighth annual, day-long Discovery Conference on Aug. 17. The conference brings together leading disruption experts and credit union leaders to help credit unions prepare for upcoming 2018 strategic planning sessions in a rapidly changing industry. The virtual, no-cost event is geared toward credit union CEOs and senior leadership teams.

Peter Sheahan, founder and CEO, Karrikins Group, and Julie Williamson, Ph.D., vice president, strategy and research, Karrikins Group, open and close the conference with keynote sessions addressing strategic planning in an evolving financial services industry as well as accelerating organizational transformation to drive alignment and execution of strategic plans to ensure relevance well into the future.

The sessions, “Beyond Business as Usual: Rethinking Strategy in a Changing Industry” and “Accelerated Growth: Building Organizations through Innovation, Courageous Leadership, and Alignment,” provide actionable steps credit unions can take to start or advance their strategic plans to capture more business today. Throughout the day, attendees have opportunities to network with industry leaders, pose questions, participate in “hot topic” chats, and visit “inspiration stations” in the exhibit hall.
