MnCUN Celebrates 2017 Accomplishments

MnCUN is dedicated to accomplishing a wide variety of strategic initiatives geared toward creating an environment for credit unions to grow. These activities include: providing strong advocacy on the legislative, regulatory, and public awareness fronts; offering regulatory compliance support; supplying education and networking opportunities; and fostering cooperation and unity among the industry.


As 2017 ends, we wanted to give you – our members – an update on the activities that the Network has engaged in on your behalf.



We are proud to report that in 2017 our staff has:


Governmental Affairs


  • Filed comment letters and requests for information, including NCUA’s advanced notice of proposed rulemaking on alternative capital, the CFPB’s request for information regarding small business lending and CUNA’s TCPA Petition
  • Answered over 604 compliance questions
  • Provided 34 compliance audits supporting 19 credit unions

Professional Development


Products & Services

  • Expanded WINcentive Savings to 22 credit unions and introduced PLS partnerships with Louisiana Credit Union League and New York Credit Union Association
  • OnApproach service bureau big data analytics BETA completed
  • Rebranded MnIPC as TruLync with improved services including Incident Management, Support Desk, Updated Website and Invoice System
