Join in the Celebration
In 2025, Minnesota Credit Unions will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the first state-chartered credit union in Minnesota. The first credit union in Minnesota was organized for Minneapolis postal employees in the spring of 1925 with $146.25 in assets. Today there are over 2.2 million credit union members in Minnesota representing $41.3 billion in assets. Together, we've built a legacy of trust and opportunity.
As we look ahead to the next century, we do so with confidence. We will gather, share and celebrate Minnesota’s credit union history. We will actively collaborate with lawmakers. We will advocate for our communities. We will welcome new members. Because in Minnesota, credit unions will always be about people.

High Yield Pale Ale |
MnCUN is proud to officially launch High Yield Pale Ale, a special collaboration between the Minnesota Credit Union Network and Broken Clock Cooperative Brewing. This limited-edition craft beer was brewed right here in Minnesota, in honor of a century of people helping people.
Broken Clock is donating a portion of proceeds from High Yield sales to support the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation and financial literacy efforts statewide. So, every pint poured helps move our mission forward. The beer is now available on tap and in cans at Broken Clock; and watch this page for a growing list of additional locations it can be purchased. Credit unions can leverage this collaboration in the following ways: Bring High Yield to Your Events: Serve High Yield Pale Ale at your annual meeting, staff appreciation day, member celebration, Foundation event, or Chapter Meeting to bring awareness to the credit union difference. Help Us Get It on Taps and Shelves: If your credit union has a business member or community partner that owns a liquor store, bar, or restaurant, we’d love to connect Broken Clock Brewing with them to make High Yield available locally. It’s a great way to support both the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation and local small businesses. Let Members Know They Can Support the Mission: Share the story of High Yield Pale Ale with your members. By purchasing this beer, they’re not just enjoying a locally brewed craft beverage—they’re helping advance financial education in Minnesota. |

Your support and participation will help us leverage this special milestone as we partner to create an environment that allows all credit unions to thrive for the next hundred years!
