Accurate completion of adverse action notices is important for several reasons: a) Their accuracy and timeliness are reviewed during compliance exams, b) They are the cornerstone of fair lending examinations, and c) If inconsistent, inaccurate notices are found, it could result in your credit union being required to review the past six months of notices, and resending corrected denial notices to unsuccessful borrowers. This webinar will cover the important issues of proper, timely handling of denial notices in accordance with Regulation B. It will also address how to include denials in the sample for your internal comparative file review for fair lending compliance.
