Understanding Emotional Intelligence

Emotional intelligence is a hot topic in today’s professional development arena. The word may be gaining lots of attention but the heart of emotional intelligence has been woven into the fabric of our lives for a long time. Emotions can influence how we act and react in the workplace. Emotional Intelligence is the ability to recognize our own behaviors, moods and impulses and then manage them in a positive way to communicate more effectively, empathize with others, diffuse conflict and more. Emotional intelligence helps you build stronger relationships and reach your career and personal goals.

In this interactive workshop, you will learn:

  • Why Emotional Intelligence is critical for both professional and personal growth
  • The four skills that make up the foundation of emotional intelligence
  • How to put together an action plan that will help you focus more effectively on your emotional intelligence
  • Strategies to help you execute your action plan
