Applications are now being accepted for the 2017 Diamond Awards, an annual credit union industry competition hosted by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council.
Every year, the Diamond Awards recognize the creative excellence and outstanding results of projects, campaigns and events across 30 award categories. Entries are judged based on the following criteria: creativity, design and production, copy and communication, and strategy and results.
Early bird applications are being accepted until December 19. The final submission deadline is January 13, 2017.

CUNA Mutual Group’s seventh annual, day-long Discovery Conference is Oct. 18. The virtual, no-cost event offers credit union leaders a chance to learn how to harness the power of data, a sneak peek at new research, and valuable industry insight and trends in the insurance and credit union industries, including Generation C.
Throughout the day, attendees have opportunities to network with industry leaders, pose questions, participate in “hot topic” chats, and visit exhibit hall booths. In addition, all credit union participants are entered to win the grand prize drawing – $1,000 to the credit union’s charity of choice.
Learn more and register online. All credit union employees are welcome and encouraged to attend. Content is geared toward credit union CEOs and senior leadership teams, and will be made available on-demand after the conference ends.
Join the Minnesota Credit Unions for Kids (MnCU4Kids) committee for the annual Bowl-O-Rama on Wednesday, Oct. 26 in Wyoming. This event provides credit union professionals and volunteers the chance to raise money for a great cause and have fun doing it.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare and its clinics around the state, which help kids with disabilities and chronic conditions. Gillette is Minnesota’s Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) designated hospital.
The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation – with the mission of providing resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive – has a strong commitment to financial education. The Foundation is offering $25,000 in grants to assist Minnesota credit unions in implementing financial education projects.
Minnesota credit unions may partner with non-credit union organizations for grant funding, so long as the project demonstrates a positive impact on a credit union’s community. Applications will be evaluated on a variety of factors, including credit union value, community impact, collaboration, creativity, and receipt of previous funding.
Applications are being accepted through this Friday, September 23. Grants will be evaluated by the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation Board of Directors, and recipients will be announced by October 10.
