The EVFCU was established 1942 and opened its first branch in Embarrass, MN. As the Credit Union grew, a branch was established in Tower, MN. The demand for services in the Aurora area prompted Dean Miller and Roxi Jensen to apply for a field of membership expansion.  NCUA granted the expansion and the Aurora office opened in the MN Power building in April of 2005. The recent sale of the MN Power building helped the EVFCU make the decision to invest in this new sight, along with the help of the City of Aurora, East Range Joint Powers, HRA and IRRRB.

Embarrass Vermillion Federal Credit Union's charter includes all people, businesses, and other legal entities who live, worship, work, attend school in Northern St. Louis County north of Highway 16 and their immediate families.
