Reminder: Application deadline for Women’s Leadership Network Mentorship Program this week
Wednesday, March 13, 2019
MnCUN is piloting a brand-new Mentorship program in partnership with the Women’s Leadership Network. The program is designed to build, grow, and support professionals and inspire commitment to a career in the credit union movement.
Applications for both mentors and mentees are due March 15, and pairs will be matched by mid-April.
Mentoring is a cost-effective, valuable tool for developing the credit union movement’s most important asset, our people. A successful mentoring process depends on the partners sharing common goals and expectations, having a commitment to the mentoring practice, and giving and receiving trust and respect.
The program has been developed by a Mentorship Advisory Group. Members of the Advisory Group are:
- Jill Carlson, Mid Minnesota FCU
- Christine Cordell, Hiway FCU
- Mary Hansen, Mayo Employees FCU
- Brittany Harrington, Heartland CU
- Bill Raker, retired Firefly CU
In this pilot program, up to 20 credit union professionals will be strategically paired for a 12-month, formal mentorship relationship. Mentees must be members of the Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network. Mentors do not need to be a member of the Women's Leadership Network - and all are encouraged to apply!
For more information and to apply, visit our mentorship page online, or please contact Jill Carlson, Mid Minnesota Federal Credit Union.
