Mentorship Program Pilot Pairs 13 Women’s Leadership Network Members with Mentors
Wednesday, April 10, 2019
MnCUN is piloting a brand-new Mentorship program in partnership with the Women’s Leadership Network. The program is designed to build, grow, and support professionals and inspire commitment to a career in the credit union movement.
Mentoring is a cost-effective, valuable tool for developing the credit union movement’s most important asset, our people. A successful mentoring process depends on the partners sharing common goals and expectations, having a commitment to the mentoring practice, and giving and receiving trust and respect.
13 members of the Women’s Leadership Network have been paired with mentors for a 12-month, formal mentorship relationship. Following the pilot project, expansion of the program will be evaluated.
The program has been developed by a Mentorship Advisory Group. Members of the Advisory Group are:
- Jill Carlson, Mid Minnesota FCU
- Christine Cordell, Hiway FCU
Mary Hansen, Mayo Employees FCU
- Brittany Harrington, Heartland CU
- Bill Raker, retired Firefly CU
