Demonstrate the CU Difference by Participating in CU FORWARD Day
Wednesday, July 17, 2019
On Monday, October 14, Minnesota’s credit unions will continue the tradition of doing what we do best – collaborating and cooperating with one another to spread kindness in the communities we serve through CU Forward Day.TM Last year, participants volunteered over 5,000 hours with service organizations, hosted food and clothing drives, taught financial education, raised funds for community groups and committed random acts of kindness. For a recap of the impact credit unions have had through this initiative, check out what we were able to accomplish last year on our CU Forward webpage.
Credit unions and partners are already joining the cause – check out our growing 2019 participants list! If you don’t see your credit union represented, please tell us if you’re participating through our registration by Friday, August 30.
Not sure how to participate? Check out our list of ideas or contact CU Forward Day coordinator, Ben Hering, to come up with ideas that suit your credit union. You don’t need to know exactly how your credit union is joining to register or commit to participating – we’re here to help!
Are there opportunities for us to join in? Absolutely! The Network has teamed up with Second Harvest Heartland for two CU Forward Day volunteer opportunities – just let us know if you want to participate.
Do all of our employees need to participate? Not everyone needs to join in. One, a few or all employees from your credit union can participate in kindness activities on or around CU Forward Day.
We will be conducting our next kick-off webinar on Thursday, August 8 at 9 a.m. Designated CU Forward Day project coordinators will receive an invite to this webinar. Following our kickoff, we will send information about updated materials and resources to aid in your planning.
