The Minnesota Credit Foundation is proud to recognize Lynn Meisner for her service to the credit union movement. She began her career in 1990 as an accountant at the Duluth City and County Employees Credit Union. She spent 14 years as the accounting manager for City County Federal Credit Union and is retiring in March as the Branch/Operations manager at North Memorial Federal Credit Union.

“Lynn Meisner has been a widely respected representative and advocate for the credit union community across Minnesota for three decades,” said Dana Garrett, President & CEO of North Memorial Federal Credit Union.

Lynn spent 20 years volunteering for the MN Family Involvement Council - which at the time, promoted full family participation in credit unions, financial education, and scholarship opportunities. She held roles as Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, was recognized with two Outstanding Volunteer of the Year awards (1997 and 2009), and a Lifetime Achievement award in 2011.

Lynn is also an active member of MN CU4Kids Committee, which raises money for the Children’s Miracle Network and Gillette Children’s Hospital; the Minnesota Credit Union Women's Leadership Network, and the Minnesota Credit Union Grass Roots Education and Action Team.

Created in 2008, the Credit Union Builder Award honors an individual’s dedication to the success, growth, and vitality of the not-for-profit financial movement in Minnesota. Dedications are typically made at a special time of significance to acknowledge an individual’s contributions to credit unions.

In total, 73 individuals have been designated as Credit Union Builders over the past nine years. The names of the recipients and the contributing credit unions are permanently displayed in the Minnesota Credit Union Network’s lobby as a tribute to those who have dedicated time and energy to building the credit union movement.

Focused on financial education and professional development initiatives, the Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is dedicated to providing the resources for credit unions and communities to prosper and thrive. MnCUF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization founded in 1969 that serves as a charitable arm of the Minnesota credit union movement. For more information, visit
