City & County Credit Union Awards $2,000 To Local Small Business & Non-Profit

City & County Credit Union - SAINT PAUL, Minn. (May 13, 2020) - Now more than ever, City & County Credit Union is committed to actively living out its mission – Empowering You To Do More – by supporting local small businesses and non-profits during this extraordinary time. Through the Making the Greater Good Even Greater contest, a $2,000 donation was given to Bunny Besties, non-profit winner, and Arthur’s Cup, LLC, small business winner.
Making the Greater Good Even Greater is a voting contest that rewards local small businesses and non-profits with a $2,000 donation for doing good things in the community. To participate in the contest, local businesses and non-profits are nominated by City & County members and the community. Once organizations accept their nomination, a Facebook voting contest is held to determine the winning non-profit and small business.
“Especially during this challenging time, we are honored to support and raise awareness for so many organizations in our community who are doing good things,” Bailey Germain, Creative Marketing & Brand Manager explained. “It is that continued focus on purpose over profit that will help us come out of this unusual time stronger than ever, together.”
During the Spring 2020 Making the Greater Good Even Greater contest, 13 small businesses and 48 non-profits competed and brought in over 24,800 total votes on City & County Credit Union’s Facebook page.
Non-Profit Greater Good Winner
As an all-volunteer non-profit, Bunny Besties is addressing the heightened stress in our community with loving bunnies and principles founded through studies at Mayo Clinic and their work with Boynton Health Services at the University of Minnesota. Bunny Besties is on a mission to provide standardized high-quality Animal Assisted Interactions (AAIs) with rabbits to support the emotional wellness of their community, with an emphasis on serving children, adolescents, and young adults as well as those facing challenging life transitions.
“Thank you to City & County Credit Union for this amazing ‘hopportunity’ to take care of the Bunny Besties rabbits,” stated Jennifer Smith, Founder and Executive Director of the organization. “During this pandemic, we are not out and about in our community helping others but we still have the bunnies to take care of. They need food, housing and veterinary care. Now we can provide for them while we are at home. Thank you for this ‘Bunny Money!’”
Arthur’s Cup, LLC (Dunn Brothers Coffee)
