Mill City Credit Union Receives Multiple National Diamond Awards Recognizing Local Give Back Program

Mill City Credit Union – MINNETONKA, Minn. (April 7, 2016) – Mill City Credit Union in Minnetonka, MN was recently honored with THREE Diamond Awards, which recognizes outstanding marketing and business development achievements in the credit union industry.

The award was presented by the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Marketing & Business Development Council, a national network comprised of over 1,200 credit union marketing and business development professionals. Awards are given in each of 30 categories ranging from advertising to community events and beyond.

Mill City Credit Union won three diamond awards in the following categories: Social Media, Membership Packets, Brochures or Booklets and Video.

Two of these awards recognize Mill City CU’s local give back program, Making the Greater Good Even Greater campaign which launched in 2015. In Social Media, their video highlighting the local non-profit, Secondhand Hounds was honored with a Diamond Award.

Additionally, the Making the Greater Good Even Greater Campaign won an award for the overall program which generates awareness and provides prize money every month to one local small business and one non-profit organization. In November 2015, the first non-profit to be featured in this campaign, Hopewell Music Cooperative North, received an additional $25,000 donation which was generated by the awareness from the campaign.

“The Diamond Awards competition represents the pinnacle of credit union marketing and business development,” said Andy Reed, Chair of the CUNA Marketing & Business Development Council, and President and CEO, Texas People FCU. “Honoring credit unions in 30 categories, ranging from brand awareness to website, social media to mobile marketing, credit unions and individuals that receive these awards represent the very best of the best in their profession.”
