Affinity Plus Foundation – SAINT PAUL, Minn. (March 2, 2016) – Last week, volunteers from the Affinity Plus Foundation hosted Mad City Money, the financial reality fair program developed by CUNA, for Boys and Girls Club members in St. Paul. The goal of the program is to give young people an opportunity to experience what their financial situation may be like after graduation or later in life, determine how to manage their many financial obligations, and make decisions on how to live within their means. The decision to facilitate Mad City Money came from identifying an opportunity for Affinity Plus to support the Boys and Girls Club’s existing financial literacy efforts.

Members of the Boys and Girls Club evaluated their experience by completing a survey that asked them to finish the following sentence: “When I have a career and a steady income, I will…” Responses included “live the best way I can,” “use my money wisely,” and “budget my needs from what I want and be careful about how I spend.”
