Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union - ALEXANDRIA, Minn. (June 3, 2016) - Now through June 30, Mid-Minnesota Federal Credit Union (MMFCU) is doing its part to get books into the hands of young children through the 60 Days of Giving Book Drive.

In connection with its 60th anniversary, all MMFCU branches, including the one in Alexandria, will have designated areas in their lobbies where community members can donate new and gently used children’s books. Those books, in turn, will be distributed locally, including schools and day care facilities.

Financial contributions will also be accepted, matched up to $2,000 by MMFCU and donated to United Way to support the Imagination Library program.

During this time, MMFCU staff volunteers will also visit schools and day cares throughout their respective service areas to read to classrooms and day care children.

For more information on the 60 Days of Giving campaign, contact the local office at (320) 762-2686.
