Halverson recognized as Asset Champion

Hometown Credit Union employee Kurt Halverson has been nominated for an Asset Champion Award by friend Belinda Vigil, presented through Faribault Youth Investment.
Halverson’s job at Hometown Credit Union entails working with citizens of all ages as they learn how to be financially responsible and successful. He teaches finance-related courses through Community Education, Bridges to the Future and the Area Learning Center, and also helps students learn English at the Faribault High School.
In May 2017, Halverson received a Customer Service Award from the Faribault Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism for his work with schools, businesses and individuals.
Faribault Youth Investment, an initiative promoting the Search Institute’s 40 Developmental Assets as a way to build strengths and promote success in Faribault youth, presents the Asset Champion award on a regular basis to individuals and organizations that are instrumental in helping our youth thrive.
