The Minnesota Credit Union Foundation is pleased to announce it has secured a $35,000 grant from the Caroline Foundation to support the development and implementation of a Clean Energy Lending and Informational Clearinghouse for Minnesota Credit Union members.

The Credit Union Clean Energy Clearinghouse is intended to move credit union members from interest to action, reducing their carbon footprints through energy savings projects and solar installations. The Clearinghouse will provide technical assistance, economic analysis and lending resources. The goal is to provide a centralized clearinghouse of clean energy information, requalified contractors, utility incentives and financing options for the state’s 1.7 million credit union members by Fall, 2018.

The clearinghouse is part of the larger Clean Energy Initiative that several Minnesota Credit Unions have been working together on to identify clean energy financing opportunities.

For more information on the Clean Energy Clearinghouse, contact Andrea Molnau, MNCU Foundation Executive Director. For more information on the Network’s Clean Energy Initiative, contact Mara Humphrey, Vice President Governmental Affairs & Association Services.
