Participate in the Statewide Credit Union Day of Kindness: Oct. 9
CU Forward Day, formerly Plus It Forward, is a statewide day of Minnesota’s credit unions spreading kindness in the communities they serve. The day is held annually on Columbus Day, a federal holiday on the second Monday of October.
All Minnesota credit unions are invited to participate in CU Forward Day by selecting a giveback opportunity that means the most to their staff and community. MnCUN will gather details from all credit unions participating in the day, create a collective impact report, and share it with the media, legislators, and opinion leaders statewide.
In the past, credit union staff have spent the day delivery gift baskets to local law enforcement, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, hosting a community shred day, volunteering for park cleanup, helping at a local food shelf, and much more. See below for additional ideas.
For more information, view the CU Forward Day webpage. Credit unions interested in participating in 2017 should contact MnCUN Director of Communications Andrea Molnau or Communications Specialist Laura Whittet.
CU Direct has partnered with the Network Service Corporation (NSC), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Minnesota Credit Union Network, to provide a comprehensive indirect lending platform to the state’s credit unions. The Minnesota Credit Union Network forms strategic endorsement relationships with vendors to help credit unions best serve their members.
With 14,000 dealers nationwide, CU Direct’s CUDL Platform provides a flexible and powerful suite of features that empower credit unions to fund and retain auto loans, increase profitability and membership growth.
Built by credit unions, for credit unions, CUDL offers the advantages of full control over each credit union’s choice in dealers, no per app fees, and full access to CU Direct’s indirect Lending 360 loan origination system to support all lending and underwriting strategies.
“The Network Service Corporation build relationships with trusted partners to cooperatively benefit credit unions across the state,” said Network Service Corporation Vice President John Ferstl. “Our Strategic Alliance members are committed to the movement and our members.”
