Hike the Hill with MnCUN, Young Professional Advocacy Training Available

Scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 25 through Thursday, Sept. 27 in Washington D.C., Hike the Hill provides credit union representatives with an opportunity to meet face-to-face with federal legislators.


The three-day trip will include a legislative and regulatory briefing with CUNA to provide information on the critical issues facing credit unions and background information about the current happenings on the Hill. Attendees will then meet with offices of Minnesota's Congressional Delegation. The trip will also include visits to regulatory agencies including the NCUA.

In addition to participating in Hill Visits, young professionals are invited to attend the CUNA Young Professionals Advocacy Training on Sept. 24. This full-day program teaches attendees the benefits of advocacy, how to build strong relationships with their Members of Congress, and best practices in district and Hill meetings. The cost of the training is $199 and will be held at the CUNA Washington D.C. office.
