Minnesota Credit Union Awareness Campaign Celebrating International Credit Union Day on Gas Station TV

To celebrate International Credit Union Day, and the statewide awareness campaign, the Minnesota Credit Union Network has partnered with Gas Station TV (GSTV) and CU Solutions Group (CUSG) to help share the credit union story, increase awareness, and engage new members.

GSTV will run the It’s Your Choice; Choose Minnesota Credit Unions ad at all GSTV stations in Minnesota from Friday, Oct. 13. through Thursday, Oct. 19. The week-long promotion will be shown at 438 stations, delivering over 1.5 million impressions.

Based on a recent study, GSTV lifts key metrics for credit union products and membership. Advertisers have a captive audience at the gas station with 88% of that audience reporting that they enjoy watching GSTV. Research shows that GSTV delivers twice the ad recall of traditional media. GSTV has more unique viewers than Netflix and reaches more premium millennials than Snapchat. What’s more, 41% of GSTV viewers are millennials – that’s a 26% greater reach than TV.

Credit unions enjoy a 30 percent reduced, preferred partner rate from GSTV all year long. To learn more about the benefits of promoting your credit union on Gas Station TV, you are invited to attend a brief webinar Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. (CST). Registration is available online.

Last year, in honor of twenty years of giving, the Council doubled their annual fundraising goal.

"We are thankful to the credit unions, vendors, and individuals that helped us reach our 2017 fundraising goal,” said FSC Chair Bridget Petersen. “Because of their support the Council is able to offer $20,000 in scholarships to Minnesota’s credit union members in 2018."
