Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network Event Scheduled for Nov. 29

MnCUN will hold the second meeting of the Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network on Tuesday, November 29. The event is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. at 317 on Rice Park and attendees may participate in an optional tour of the Xcel Energy Center and Minnesota Wild Hockey Facility.

Program topics will include:

  • Self-Awareness: Presented by Lisa Hayes, Leadership Coach and Facilitator, Through-The-Hayes - Self-awareness is a critical piece to personal development. Knowing yourself -  specifically what drives you, drains you and how you are perceived by others - can be a great starting point in your leadership development. During this workshop, we will spend time learning about the key areas of self-awareness, and discover the work that energizes and drains you, in order to set into motion a plan to continue this development once you leave.
  • Speed-Networking activity - This session will provide attendees with an opportunity to interact one on one with other credit union women. Similar to speed dating, participants pair up and network with each other in short intervals. During this time, attendees will have a chance to exchange business cards, and share knowledge and insights in their professional area.

The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network is a local chapter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network established to further Global Women’s Leadership Network’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to convene Minnesota’s women credit union professionals, discuss credit union issues, exchange ideas, network with neighboring credit union leaders, and share lessons learned with Global Women’s Leadership Network members worldwide.

The 2016 digital directory showcasing the 36 participants of this year’s Minnesota Credit Union Network Vendor Involvement Program (V.I.P.) is now available. V.I.P. participants agree to support the Network and Minnesota's credit unions and pledge to offer professional service, quality product lines and competitive pricing.

V.I.P. increases vendor visibility, connecting Minnesota’s credit unions with the organizations that serve their unique needs. The program combines advertising, industry trade show packages, and the opportunity to participate in various MnCUN initiatives.
