MnCUN welcomes Rick Odenthal to Board of Directors
The Minnesota Credit Union Network recently welcomed Central Minnesota Credit Union CEO Rick Odenthal to the board of directors. Odenthal has been appointed to fill the vacant non-metro directors seat and will serve until the next Annual Meeting which is scheduled for April 20 through 21 in Bloomington.
The Network’s Board of Directors represent the interests of credit unions all of sizes and from all parts of the state. The Board works together with MnCUN’s President & CEO to ensure that all member credit unions receive high-quality service and that the interests of Minnesota credit unions are promoted both at the state and national level.
A full listing of Minnesota Credit Union Network Board members can be found on the MnCUN website. With question, contact MnCUN Vice President & General Council John Wendland by email or by phone at 651-288-5519.
2017 Awareness & Reputation Campaign Update
We are pleased to report the Network’s efforts to initiate our “Awareness & Reputation” campaign achieved a major milestone. We have raised just under $525,000 in pledges to date, and as a result of this support, will be moving ahead in short order.
The campaign design and microsite development will begin this month and will roll out first quarter 2017. In addition, we are working closely with CUNA and their national awareness research project. Our own state-specific research study, which we have conducted biennially for the past several years, is also on schedule for first quarter. Moreover, the Network will actively engage credit unions statewide for stories, suggestions and feedback throughout the campaign.
Thank you to the following credit unions for their leadership in funding this initiative:
There is still time to contribute. Please use the Awareness Campaign Pledge Form as the Awareness Fund will not be listed on our annual dues invoice. And while we certainly encourage credit unions to donate at the suggested campaign level, donations of all amounts are welcome. If you have questions about the campaign, please contact Mara Humphrey or Andrea Molnau at the Network office.
Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network Holds Second Event
Last week, the MnCUN held the second meeting of the Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network at 317 on Rice Park in St. Paul. Attendees toured the Minnesota Wild Hockey Facility; learned about the key areas of self-awareness and a plan to continue their personal and professional development; and networked with other female credit union professionals.
The Minnesota Credit Union Women’s Leadership Network is a local chapter of the Global Women’s Leadership Network established to further Global Women’s Leadership Network’s global mission by making a local impact. The purpose is to convene Minnesota’s women credit union professionals, discuss credit union issues, exchange ideas, network with neighboring credit union leaders, and share lessons learned with Global Women’s Leadership Network members worldwide.
