Bureau Proposes Increase to Remittance Transfer Threshold

The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (Bureau) issued proposed changes to the Remittance Transfer Rule (Rule). One of the proposed changes is to increase the “normal course of business” threshold to 500 transfers per year. The current threshold is 100.
