Minnesota Legislature Adjourns Without Passing a Budget: The Minnesota Legislature adjourned Monday without finishing the state’s two-year budget, passing only 9 of about 20 budget and policy bills.
CFPB Overdraft Case Dismissed: The lawsuit challenging the CFPB’s final overdraft rule has officially been dismissed. The Minnesota Credit Union Network, 17 other leagues and America's Credit Unions joined together earlier this year to file an amicus brief in support of the case. Thank Congress for Preserving the Credit Union Tax Status: Thanks to the thousands of credit union advocates in Minnesota and across the country, the House Ways and Means Committee did not alter the tax status of credit unions in its draft tax reform legislation.
