The Minnesota Credit Union Network is pleased to announce that Dan Le, General Counsel, has been appointed Chair of the Minnesota Board of Public Defense.
The Public Defense Board is a Judicial Branch agency whose mission/purpose is to provide quality criminal defense services to indigent defendants in the state of Minnesota through an independent, responsible and efficient public defender system. It is made up of nine members with four members appointed by the Governor, and five members (attorneys) appointed by the Supreme Court. "It’s an incredible privilege to serve the mission of helping underserved and indigent people, their families, and loved ones through very dark and tough situations. The board’s work is to ensure that justice is a fair process that treats all people in those tough circumstances equally," said Le.
