The Minnesota Credit Union Network Awards Committee facilitates statewide and national awards programs and judges entries. On the national level, the committee coordinates Minnesota’s entries for CUNA’s Dora Maxwell and Louise Herring Awards and the Desjardins Award for Financial Education.
On the state level, the committee recognizes individuals and organizations through the Professional and Volunteer of the Year Awards.

National Awards
Recognizing that it is has been a hectic and uncertain time for credit unions, CUNA has announced they are extending the deadline for the 2020 Awards Program. The new deadline for entries to the Dora Maxwell, Louise Herring, and Desjardins awards is now Wednesday, July 24.
Additionally, credit unions are encouraged to submit for ongoing efforts and projects through July 2020 in order to recognize the extraordinary efforts being taken to serve credit union members in these unprecedented times. Statewide award winners are announced in August or September. Winning state entries advance to compete nationally, with national results typically available in late November to early December.

State Awards
- Outstanding Professional of the Year recognizes the notable service of one outstanding credit union professional who has selflessly given time, effort and talent to the support and promotion of the credit union mission and who has gone above and beyond to improve the credit union culture in Minnesota.
- Outstanding Volunteer of the Year is given to one extraordinary credit union volunteer who best exemplifies the credit union spirit through dedication to, and belief in, the credit union movement. Grounds for nomination include involvement in the credit union movement at local and state levels and participation in other activities that support the credit union mission.
Minnesota Credit Union Marketing Awards
Open to all MnCUN member credit unions, the awards recognize outstanding programs in the areas of branding, community impact and outreach, digital advertising, printed material, video, and complete campaigns. Awards submissions open in the fall.
