MnCUN Committees

MnCUN committees are made up of credit union professionals who volunteer their time to serving the Minnesota credit union movement. Representing credit unions of all sizes and from all corners of the state, committee members help to further a variety of objectives from politics to international partnerships to cooperative advertising. Committee members are appointed by the MnCUN Board of Directors annually following the Annual Business Meeting in April.

Advocacy Fund Committee

The Advocacy Fund Committee supports the Network’s governmental affairs advocacy efforts by providing additional resources to strongly position credit unions on the political front. The Credit Union Advocacy Fund Committee will oversee expenditures out of this fund and report them to the MnCUN Board on a regular basis.

AHP Board of Trustees

The AHP Board of Trustees oversees The Minnesota Credit Union Employee Benefits Plan which is an association health plan through which Minnesota credit unions and credit union service organizations (CUSOs) can offer health benefits to their employees. The plan utilizes the cooperative model by
allowing eligible credit unions and CUSOs to come together, as if they were one large employer, to purchase and offer benefits. By coming together like this, credit unions and CUSOs have more bargaining power, can reduce cost and risk volatility by spreading those costs and risks over a larger group, and
have more options to offer employees and their families.
